The Garland XPress Grill:
The Global Standard in Double-Sided Cooking.
With a simple press of a button, food is cooked on both sides simultaneously, for consistently better quality and in almost half the time it would take on a conventional flat grill. You get greater throughput with less waste. The Garland XPress Grill saves money, time and space while improving food quality and safety.
Better Quality Food.
The XPress Grill’s upper and lower grill plates cook both sides simultaneously, reducing cook times by up to 50%. The precise temperature controls ensuring food is cooked to appropriate core temperature ensuring operators achieve consistent quality and food safety. Plus, there's less shrinkage and moisture loss for better tasting food.
Unsurpassed Energy Savings.
The Garland XPress Grill uses approximately 25% less energy compared to a traditional flat griddle. Lower temperatures are required and rapid recovery and rapid pre-heat features save energy by allowing the griddle to cool between peak periods. Individual lanes can be turned off when not required.
Easy to Operate
The easyTouch™ screen design is simple and intuitive with Press & Go interface. The menu can be factory set or customized to your needs specifically. Platens automatically raise and lower with a simple press of a button by a single shaft lift system powered by a quiet actuator. Reduce training time while ensuring consistent results and quality.
Menu Flexibility
Recipes are programmed to set grill temperature, platen temperature, cooking gap (up to 2” cook height), cook time and food type. Run multiple recipes on the same lane and switch between menus. Thermal breaks beneath the grill plate allows each lane to be set to a different temperature for menu flexibility. Easily update menus with the USB interface.
Advanced Temperature Control.
The advances temperature control system eliminates temperature overshoot & undershoot and increases temperature uniformity with five independently controlled heat zones - three on the griddle plate and two on the platen. The lower griddle plate is made of 3/4” thick high-polished carbon steel for quicker recovery. Rapid recovery and pre-heat features save energy by allowing the griddle to cool between peak periods.
Ease of Maintenance.
Stainless steel exterior, strong chassis design and long-life components. The fully sealed platen design to protects from grease and water ingress. Reversible, reuseable non-stick sheets prevent food from sticking and help keep platens clean. Splash and splatter guards protect from grease splatter and makes cleaning easer. A cleaning kit with high-temperature grill cleaner and cleaning tools provided with every grill. Watch the cleaning process.
What is Active Compression?
Active Compression is a locking mechanism that applies even, controlled pressure to the platen to consistently achieve a precise cooking gap. This ensures uniform results, even when raw product thickness varies on the grill.
An XPress Grill without Active Compression relies on the weight of the platen, about 40 lb, for pressing down product, making it ideal for foods that are already uniform in thickness, shape, and size, such as burgers and frozen products.
An XPress Grill with Active Compression (models with AC suffix) uses a lift shaft to lower the platen and apply up to 300 lb of force to reach the desired gap. This compresses products to a consistent thickness regardless of their original size. Active Compression is especially effective for uneven items like boneless chicken breasts, chicken thighs, and smash burgers.
The Right Size for Your Operation.
Choose the right model for your specific needs. The Garland XPress Grills come in 12" single-platen, 24" dual-platen or single-platen, and 36" triple-platen or dual-platen widths and are available in gas and electric models, with or without Active Compression.
